In the beginning there was a dream!

We spent over ten years looking for a farm. In a secluded location, with a lot of history and close to the water. A haven of peace in our stressful everyday lives that have taken us all over the world. A place where family and friends can come together. Where we can pursue our secret passion as hosts, or simply forget everything around us. Where the children feel at home and one day they would like to relive the old days with their children.

And suddenly we are standing in front of this farm. A house with over 130 years of history. With owners to whom we can promise in good conscience to continue a tradition. A village community that more than deserves the name. Nestled in the lovely landscape of the Geltinger Bay and the Flensburg Fjord right on the doorstep. Deer and pheasants in the garden and lively agriculture all around us. This is exactly what we have always dreamed of.

And all of this happened at a time when our job gave us a lot of time. An exceptionally beautiful summer is just around the corner and we feel like we have to make big decisions. So we didn't have to think about it for long. We had a second viewing with one or two consultants and then made a decision. Then everything happened very quickly and the Fjord Cottage was ours.
