Hauke Schmidt, a native of Flensburg, opened his restaurant in April, and it was immediately met with enthusiastic responses from guests. "We were practically overwhelmed at the opening and have only received positive feedback since," the chef says happily.
Ben's Fish Hut
Ben's Fish Hut is located in Flensburg's museum harbor and has been a popular spot for tourists for the past two years. The reason: Tim Mälzer made the little stall famous. When Ben Heinrich opened the gray wooden shack twelve years ago, he sometimes sold only three or four rolls a day. Now he sells 300 to 400, and the line in front of the stall often stretches the entire length of the harbor. The herring roll is the most popular item.

Glücksburg Golf Club
Founded in 1972, the Förde Golf Club Glücksburg is situated on the Bockholm plateau. The landscape is characterized by hills, valleys, moors, and beech forests located directly on the coast. The course is bordered to the northeast by the steep coastline overlooking the Flensburg Fjord.
The topography of the entire area – as well as the entire region – was shaped by the Würm Ice Age, which prevailed until about 10,000 years ago. It covered all of Scandinavia and the present-day Baltic Sea basin with an ice sheet up to 3 km thick. In the far north of this area, a challenging golf course was created. The breathtaking view across the Flensburg Fjord, also a result of the last Ice Age, perfectly complements every round of golf.
